Apparently the guy at Awesome Exotics JUST got out of the business :/ I'm going to call him again later today, he said he may be able to put me in contact with another breeder.

Does anyone know of any RED fox breeders in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana or Ohio that
- Sell red fox (type ) that are also the original red *colour?*
-Will allow anyone UNDER 21 to purchase a fox?
-That bottle raises them around human contact and such starting between 7-10 days after the kits are born?
- Who's foxes are $250 or less?
-Who will actually respond to your emails, facebook messages and phone calls you make to them!??!

( let it be known i've sent emails and facebook messages and made phone calls to different breeders and only 1/8 of them responded ?
Its been a whole 4 weeks since I've even tried contacting any of them and i triple checked my messages/ phone calls/ emails DID go
 through !!! )

We have successfully brought the first and second Siberian Domestic foxes into the US. We are working directly with the Russian Institute to transport these animals worldwide for those owners seeking domestic foxes as pets.

These are wonderful animals that make great pets - if you understand the breed and nature of the animal (no different than understanding the difference between a border collie and a dachshund). They are very social, love to go for walks (we prefer a harness to a collar), are easily litter trained, interact well with our dogs, and are great with children.

There are several colors available – both male and female (all sterilized). We have all necessary permits and licenses to transport these animals worldwide as well as to import into the US – we will work with your state and local authorities to obtain proper permits and licenses prior to importing the animal(s). We are currently scheduled to travel back to Novosibirsk in September to bring some kits back to the US for owners who have urchased them....as well as two of our own (Dior and Prada). We have fallen in love with these animals and hope they find their way into more hearts and homes here in the US and worldwide.

These are wonderful, well socialized animals that make excellent pets as long as you do the research and understand the basic nature of these animals. Domestication is much more than being able to sit, lay down, and come....

Please feel free to contact us for additional information – featuringanimals@aol.com or contact the institute directly for references.

Are there any like Sibfox that bred them for domestication scientifically?

none anywhere near that extent... keep in mind that is a Russian fur farm breeding program.. they skin the foxes that don't get selected for breeding...

I know! :C Recently I heard that Sibfox in California was a scam or badly directed or something. I also heard that it was better to get a fox from a private breeder and interact with one before you get them. It sounds true to me. You?

we fox owners were skeptical of SibFox at first, but we have since had multiple instances of contact with Sibfox, so they are legit, just slow in corresponding... and VERY expensive...

you are much better off getting an American bred fox at just a couple weeks old, than getting a several month old fox from Sibfox... the most tame of all the Russian foxes don't get sent to the USA anyways...

there is a significant variation of degrees of tameness even among the foxes from the breeding experiment.

Although these are slightly old comments, I wanted to post the SibFox is a scam and is no more. They are the reason the Houston Zoo now has to Russian foxes. SibFox had them sent here illegally and they were confiscated. [link]

Foxes are such cute animals, but they need a lot of care and space to run and play. ^^ Like you do for your RonRon with his own big openair bawn ;D
Hope, the guys which want to buy a little fox like you, know how specific a wild animal (predator) is ;D

best wishes to you and your family ;D

thanks for watching...
my fox is only relaxed around me, since I am the only one that lives in this house...he is very scared of anyone else...

but other people have their fox or foxes acclimated to many people, and some even are not afraid of strangers; individual foxes have different personalities, varying from fox to fox, just like individual dogs differ, and like some cats hide and some come out to greet people.

Interact with these many other pet fox owners at the biggest pet fox forum, Sybil's Message Board [link]
